Mui Lan is a registered nurse with more than 40 years’ experience in patient care in Singapore and Australia. Most recently, Mui Lan spent 8 years as a Diabetic Nurse Educator at Changi General Hospital where she helped patients across all areas of diabetes care.

Mui Lan’s deep practical experience allows her to support patients with specific advice on how to better control blood glucose levels through lifestyle changes.

Mui Lan

Mui Lan is a registered nurse with more than 40 years’ experience in patient care in Singapore and Australia. Most recently, Mui Lan spent 8 years as a Diabetic Nurse Educator at Changi General Hospital where she helped patients across all areas of diabetes care.

Mui Lan’s deep practical experience allows her to support patients with specific advice on how to better control blood glucose levels through lifestyle changes.  Having worked as part of a multi-disciplinary team she naturally collaborates with physicians, dieticians and other clinical staff to provide relevant patient support in line with care plans.


Mui Lan’s experience also includes a significant amount of educational work – explaining the disease process, medications and how to prevent complications in a way which patients can immediately relate to.

In her earlier career, Mui Lan worked as Senior Staff Nurse in a variety or roles, as a Nurse Manager at SingHealth Polyclinics and as a Parent Craft Nurse Educator. She holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing) degree from Curtin University of Technology.

CHAN Man Ee

Man Ee has spent a third of her 30-over years as a registered nurse in the community performing health coaching. In addition she has 3 years’ experience as a Diabetes Nurse at Changi General Hospital and a post-graduate diploma in Diabetes Care from the University of Leicester and a BSc (Nursing) from Curtin University.

Chan Man Ee

Over her many years in the community, Man Ee has supported patients in all practical aspects of diabetes care, including self-monitored blood glucose readings, medication and meal timings. She also has significant experience in diabetes education to convince patients of the benefits of structured monitoring.

Man Ee believes in a patient-centred approach to motivating and enabling persons with diabetes to take ownership of their own self-management. She is always culturally sensitive and collaborative, using creative solutions to overcome any unique self-management challenges.

Over her career, Man Ee has received several good service awards, reflecting positive feedback from her satisfied clients.  A firm believer in a multidisciplinary care for diabetes, Man Ee collaborates closely with her nursing colleagues, dieticians, physiotherapists and physicians to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
